Odour treatment begins by identifying and containing the source. Ozone may be considered for selected odorous compounds in an engineered gas-treatment process, rather than dispersed into occupied areas.

Odours often arise from mixtures whose composition changes with the process. A strong smell does not directly measure health risk, and masking an odour does not show that the underlying contaminants have been removed.
How Ozone Helps
Ozone reacts with some odorous compounds, but reaction rates and products differ. At exposure-compatible concentrations it is ineffective against many indoor contaminants; any proposed industrial treatment needs testing and containment rather than a general air-cleaning claim.

Technical Treatment Approach
Source capture and measured airflow define the gas stream before feed-gas preparation and ozone generation are selected. Controlled injection, mixing and reactor residence are assessed with inlet and outlet sampling. Residual ozone and reaction by-products require downstream management.

System Integration

PLC options can interlock generation with extraction flow and reactor availability. HMI displays, ozone sensors, outlet alarms and emergency stops support local control; remote operation requires safeguards against unintended exposure.

Important Design Considerations
Actual air quality, flow, contaminant load and odour-treatment goals determine ozone dose, contact time, mixing or transfer efficiency and performance. Assess by-products and exposure pathways; smell alone is not a residual-ozone clearance test.
